The Glass House
Make your travel plans for Connecticut and head for New Canaan, home to one of the state's can't-miss, must-see attractions – The Glass House. Found along Elm Street between Park Street and Grove Street, just two blocks north of Mead Memorial Park, the Glass House is a museum, and former residence of, Philip Johnson.
Constructed in 1949, the Glass House is a masterpiece of minimalist structure proportion. Open for tours between May 1st and November 30th, the Glass House is a premier attraction in the area, and a quick drive in from nearby Fairfield. Embark on any of the tours – the Glass House Tour is one hour, while the Glass House + Galleries Tour is two hours, and the Extended Tour is two and a half hours long.
